Protect Our Homeowners: Tax Liens

Join us for “Protect Our Homeowners: Tax Liens,” a Virtual Town Hall on Tuesday, July 27 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Throughout New York City there are thousands of homeowners who may become susceptible to a tax lien due to municipal debt. Tax liens have an outsized, severe impact on minority and elderly New Yorkers – the same populations that have been disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In collaboration with the Queens Anti-Displacement Coalition (JASA/LSEJ, NHS of Jamaica, and the Legal Aid Society), Brooklyn A is providing homeowners with information to understand tax liens and how to avoid their negative impacts. Our attorneys will also answer general legal questions (not personal case specific).

Help us spread the word to your family, friends, and neighbors! With your help sharing this essential resource, more New Yorkers can avoid negative implications of tax liens.

Justice grows stronger when we build it together.
