Elaine Stamp

Elaine Stamp joined Build Up Justice NYC in April 2026 as a paralegal for the Preserving Affordable Housing – Brooklyn team. Her previous nonprofit advocacy experience includes close to eight years at the ACLU of DC where she provided litigation support for local and federal cases to address civil rights violations. Elaine also designed and headed the DC affiliate’s intake system to review, process, and investigate requests for legal help. Her career as a paralegal began at a small family law firm in Albuquerque, NM, where she assisted attorneys specializing in domestic relations matters, GAL proceedings, and contract disputes. Prior to joining BUJNYC, she spent a brief stint in publishing at a literary agency before answering the call to return to mission-driven work.

Elaine speaks French at a conversational level and is currently working on her beginner’s level Spanish.

Justice grows stronger when we build it together.
