James Zettergren-Rivera

Prior to joining Build Up Justice NYC, James worked as a Care Manager for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Care Manager he centered his client’s goals, helped individuals and families obtain services and resources, housing, and advocated for clients in their school, work, medical, and home environments. James has also been an advocate for LGBTQ* communities and has conducted workshops to create understanding around the issues faced by LGBTQ* individuals and the other identities they hold. He’s a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and holds a B.A. in Sociology.
