Rukhsar Lenhard

Prior to joining Build Up Justice NYC, Rukhsar ‘Ruki’ Asfe has worked as a Care Manager for community organizations to support people with developmental disabilities and mental health needs. Ruki has also been involved in research as a Senior Research Assistant with the School of Social Welfare at Stony Brook University. Ruki is also a Delegate Assemblymember of the New York Chapter of the NASW. Ruki earned her Masters in Social Work from Stony Brook University, with a specialization in Community, Policy, and Political Social Action. She also holds a B.S. in Biology and Psychology from Stony Brook University. She brings her enthusiasm and perseverance to Build Up Justice NYC‘s Preserving Affordable Housing team.
